I stumbled into my relationship with Patrice and Lifestyle Zen. Let me back up, I met Patrice before I knew she was a creative law wiz. She is a good friend of a good friend of mine which, by universal law, makes her cool but after she told me she was a creative law attorney I was floored. Six degrees of separation was more like two degrees of legal kismet. From day one Patrice showed as much interest in my venture, The Genius Syndicate (a learning-inspired lifestyle brand for kids), than I’d seen in anyone else. She jumped right in using her expertise to illuminate the murky waters of copyrights, trademarks and legal structuring all while dropping jewels I managed to pick up and store in a safe place.
In addition to being an expert (in my book an expert is someone who can answer 90% of my crazy questions) Patrice is just as creative as her clients. I witnessed this when we sat down to talk about her approach towards my trademark application. My portfolio has such a range that the regular old way was going to be time-consuming and very cost prohibitive (and I haven’t hit the lottery yet so a brother is still watching his coins…funding your side hustle is no joke). Starting a business is some frightening sh*t which is why you need a great team, balls (or ovaries) of steel and a realistic financial outlook. Patrice is stellar and reasonably priced which makes it easy for entrepreneurs and small/medium sized business to obtain the legal protection/expertise they need without going broke.
All-in-all Patrice is one of the best business relationships I’ve formed in a long time. She takes her services seriously and is always thinking of her client’s success. I strongly recommend Patrice and Lifestyle Zen and do not take our friendship and business relationship lightly.
